Game drive vehicle and a lion in Chobe National Park, Botswana

Multi-day tours & safaris

Twenty-four Victoria Falls lodge packages and twenty longer safaris across Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa, in four grades. Accommodation, transfers, meals and activities arranged as one trip.

We group every package into four grades. Two to four night Victoria Falls lodge packages start at US$797 per person sharing in budget, US$802 camping, US$765 mid range and US$1,285 luxury. On the graded safaris the route, guiding and included activities are identical — only where you sleep changes. Camping is a different kind of trip rather than a cheaper one.

Not on the list?

Everything above has a published rate because we can honour it. Anything else gets built around your dates instead of sold off a shelf.

  • Extend at either end — nights added before or after any package, at the falls or in Livingstone.
  • Swap the activities — the included list on every itinerary is a starting point, not a fixed menu.
  • Family and group rates — quoted per party rather than taken off the sharing rate.
  • Participation camping — not in the published range, but we will quote it.

Quoted individually against your dates and party size — we do not publish a rate we cannot honour.

Package questions

How much does a safari package cost?

Short Victoria Falls lodge packages start at US$765 per person sharing for two nights including meals, transfers and selected activities. Longer regional safaris start at US$3,331 per person sharing for seven nights in the budget grade, and run to about US$10,240 for a ten night luxury Zambia fly-in. Every rate on this site is the full package price, not a per-night rate.

What is the difference between the four grades?

On the graded safaris the route, guiding, transfers and included activities are identical across grades — only the accommodation changes. Budget means comfortable en-suite hotels and lodges, mid range means lodges with views and better restaurants, luxury means historic hotels and private-concession camps. Camping is not a cheaper version of the same trip: it is a different experience, under canvas, and some camping itineraries cost more than the lodge equivalent.

Which countries do you cover?

Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. In Zimbabwe: Victoria Falls, Hwange, Mana Pools, Matobo, Kariba, Great Zimbabwe and the Eastern Highlands. In Zambia: Livingstone, Kafue, South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi. In Botswana: the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Savute, the Central Kalahari and the Makgadikgadi Pans. In South Africa: Cape Town, the Winelands, the Garden Route, the Kruger, the Waterberg and the Kalahari at Tswalu. Several itineraries cross a border, and all the border formalities are handled for you.

Are single travellers charged more?

Yes, because accommodation is priced per room. Every package publishes either a single rate or a single room supplement next to the sharing rate. On the graded Zimbabwe safaris there is a further distinction between travelling single within a larger group and travelling alone, and both are published on the package page rather than quoted on request.

What is not included?

Broadly: international flights, visas and visa fees, travel and medical insurance, gratuities, items of a personal nature, and premium imported drinks. Park and conservation fees are included on most of the longer safaris but not all — each package page lists its own inclusions and exclusions line by line, so read the one you are booking.

When should I travel?

It depends on what you came for. July to October is peak game viewing everywhere — the bush is dry and animals concentrate at water — and it is also the most expensive. The green season from December to March is cheaper, greener and better for birding, but some camps close and Mana Pools is generally only open April to November. The falls are at their fullest around March and April. See the travel guide for the detail.
