Overview
Four of South Africa’s most celebrated addresses in eleven days, joined by a helicopter and three charter flights so the travelling never eats into the time.
It opens at Ellerman House, a thirteen-bedroom house hotel in terraced gardens above Bantry Bay, between the Atlantic and Lion’s Head. A helicopter from the V&A Waterfront then carries you to the Franschhoek valley and Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, known for its extraordinary fruit and vegetable garden.
A charter flight takes you north to the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve for three nights at The Motse, with a private vehicle, guide and tracker, meerkat encounters and San rock engravings. The last three nights are at Mhondoro in the malaria-free Welgevonden reserve, where an underground hide puts you eye to eye with animals at the waterhole.

Days 1 & 2
Cape Town
Met on arrival at Cape Town International and driven to the hotel. The V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, the Company’s Garden, Camps Bay and Clifton, Hout Bay, Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders Beach are all within easy reach.
Thirteen bedrooms and two contemporary villas in terraced gardens between the Atlantic and Lion’s Head, with a spa, an art gallery, a wine gallery and cellar, a library and a solar-heated pool. Deluxe House Rooms have French doors onto a private terrace above the ocean.

Days 3 & 4
The Franschhoek valley, by helicopter
Driven to the V&A Waterfront for a helicopter flight over to the Winelands. Two nights at a restored Cape Dutch farm at the foot of the Simonsberg, run around its celebrated garden: garden tours, wine and olive oil tastings, bicycles, the farm animals, and swimming or rowing on the dam. Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl are close by for tastings, the wine tram and long lunches.
The One-Bedroom Fynbos Cottage has thick whitewashed walls, a fireplace, a lounge and a glass-cube kitchen added to the old building.

Days 5–7
Tswalu Kalahari
Back to Cape Town airport for a charter flight to the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve. Three nights at The Motse, Tswalu’s original camp of nine suites looking out to the Korannaberg mountains, with a waterhole in front of the main area.
A private vehicle with a guide and tracker for game drives, night drives and nature walks; meerkat encounters, horse riding, bird watching and some of the oldest San rock engravings in Africa. All meals and drinks, laundry and Wi-Fi are included.

Days 8–10
Welgevonden, the Waterberg
A charter to OR Tambo, then a second short charter to the Welgevonden airstrip in a light aircraft carrying up to five passengers. Three nights at a five-star lodge in the malaria-free Welgevonden reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives for the Big Five, night drives, guided bush walks, rhino tracking and two San rock art sites — plus an underground hide reached by a 65-metre tunnel, looking out at eye level onto the waterhole. The Luxury Pool Suite has a private plunge pool, a gas fireplace and air conditioning.

Day 11
Departure
A last morning game drive and breakfast, then the charter back to OR Tambo for your flight home.
