Overview
The short version of the Cape done well: a historic wine farm, then a sea-view room in the city, with a car to go wherever the day takes you.
Collect the car at Cape Town Airport and drive an hour inland to Boschendal, a working wine farm in the valley between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, for two nights in a garden suite. Tastings, farm-to-table dining, hiking, cycling and riding on the farm, and the wine estates of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek on the doorstep.
Then back to Cape Town for three nights in a Superior Sea View Room in Green Point, walking distance from the V&A Waterfront and the Bo-Kaap — with Table Mountain, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch, Cape Point and Boulders Beach to choose from.

Days 1 & 2
The Cape Winelands
Collect the car at Cape Town Airport and drive to the Winelands. Visit the estates of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek for tastings, cellar tours and picnics on the lawns; a cycling wine tour, the Franschhoek wine tram or a Stellenbosch food walk can be added.
The Werf Garden Suites sit among gardens with mountain views and access to the farm trails, with a shared pool, a minibar restocked daily with local craft beer, cider and soft drinks, underfloor heating in the bathroom and a complimentary chocolate and wine pairing at the Werf Restaurant.

Days 3–5
Cape Town
A short drive back to the city for three nights. The V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, the Company’s Garden, Table Mountain, the Bo-Kaap and Kirstenbosch are all close; Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders Beach make a full day’s drive. A Cape Malay cooking class, a city walk, a Table Mountain hike or sea kayaking can be booked in advance.
Superior Sea View Rooms are on the upper floors with a balcony over the city, a super king bed, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities.
