Overview
Four regions, ten nights, and the best address in each. This is the most comprehensive Zambia itinerary we run.
It opens at The Royal Livingstone — a five-star, 173-room hotel in seventeen colonial-style buildings strung along the Zambezi bank, within walking distance of the falls. Deep shaded verandas, a pool that visually runs into the river, and the falls a short walk away. Two nights, with the guided falls tour, the African Queen sunset cruise and a 15 minute helicopter flight included.
Three nights in remote southern Kafue, on the edge of a dambo among jackalberry and sausage trees — armed guided walks, day and night drives, and village visits. Then a charter flight to the Lower Zambezi, where the activities move onto the water: canoeing, boating and fishing alongside drives.
The last three nights are in South Luangwa at Nkwali — six chalets in ebony woodland overlooking the river, twelve guests maximum, with a bar built around a massive ebony tree on the riverbank. The area is known for leopard and giraffe, and for elephants crossing the Luangwa in front of camp. Walking safaris, day and night drives, and boat trips between November and mid-May.

Days 1 & 2
The Royal Livingstone, Victoria Falls
Met at Livingstone Airport, 20 minutes away. Rooms are in two-storey clusters of around ten en-suite air-conditioned rooms, each with a private balcony or terrace, set among indigenous trees along the river.
Included: a guided tour of the falls on the Zambian side, the African Queen sunset cruise, and a 15 minute helicopter flight over the falls. Anything else — rafting, bungee, lion walks, the Mosi-oa-Tunya white rhino drive, village and market visits — can be pre-booked through your consultant.

Days 3, 4 & 5
Southern Kafue National Park
A private three hour road transfer to Dundumwezi Gate, then a 90 to 120 minute game drive into camp.
Three nights on the edge of a large dambo in the remote southern section of Zambia’s largest park. Four chalets and two Meru tents, all spacious and en-suite with hot and cold running water, coffee and tea, mosquito nets, lounge chairs and a writing desk. A large thatched lounge and dining area on an elevated teak deck.
Armed guided walks, early morning and late afternoon game drives, night drives and park excursions. Birding walks, Lake Itezhi-Tezi and a cultural visit to Shezongo village by arrangement.

Days 6 & 7
Lower Zambezi National Park
A charter flight from Kafue to Royal Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi.
Two nights on three kilometres of Zambezi river frontage in a Game Management Area bordering the national park. Ten classic rooms — safari-style tented under thatch, with large mesh windows and a private deck — and four deluxe suites with a plunge pool, private lounge and Victorian bathtub.
Two activities a day: day and night drives, canoeing on the Zambezi and the smaller channels, boating and fishing.

Days 8, 9 & 10
South Luangwa National Park
A flight from Royal Zambezi airstrip to Mfuwe, met by the camp guide for a game drive transfer into camp, 45 minutes to an hour away.
Three nights at Nkwali, in ebony woodland and open grassland overlooking the Luangwa. Six spacious chalets with fans and en-suite bathrooms, twelve guests maximum. Access to the park is by boat or the nearby pontoon. The thatched dining room overlooks a lagoon the resident animals drink at during the day; the bar sits on the riverbank around a massive ebony tree, which is the place to watch elephant herds cross.
Walking safaris, day and night game drives, and boat trips between November and mid-May. Over 400 bird species.

Departure
A game drive transfer back to Mfuwe Airport and a flight to Lusaka International for your onward connection.
