Overview

The longer version of our guided Zambia circuit: an extra night in northern Kafue, and Devil’s Pool at Livingstone Island instead of the helicopter flight.

Two nights at Victoria Falls from the Zambian side, with the guided falls tour, the African Queen sunset cruise, and Livingstone Island — the island on the lip of the falls where Devil’s Pool sits. It is only accessible when the water is low enough, roughly mid-August to mid-January, so this is a seasonal highlight rather than a guarantee, and we will tell you honestly whether your dates work.

Then six nights split across both ends of Kafue National Park, Zambia’s largest, with a full day’s game drive through the park to get from one to the other. Southern Kafue is remote dambo country with armed walks and night drives; northern Kafue is the river, where boat cruises and fishing join the drives.

A night in Lusaka with a city and cultural tour, and two closing nights in the Lower Zambezi for game-viewing cruises, canoeing, tiger fishing and birding.

Wonderful experience! Wonderful experience to be up close and personal with the elephants. You can tell they take very good care of the elephants and have taught them good positive reinforcement for behavior.

Wonderful experience but don't try to leave early - surly staff My daughter and I went to this as she was keen to try a mopane worm. Most of the experience was really enjoyable and the food very good. Unfortunately when we left (a little early as my daughter is still young and was tired), the woman at the door (likely realising we would no longer be available to purchase any of the "extras" (drinks/facepainting/n'anga) basically snatched off our sarongs with a very surly expression and no goodbye etc which was really sad as it detracted hugely from our memory of the experience. If not for her, I would have rated 5 stars

Great fun to the beat of the drums Good local cuisine, an entertaining floor show by the percussion-and-dancers ensemble, and providing a conga drum to each guest is a masterly way of inviting audience participation, by adults and children alike. The food is plentiful and varied. Plus a very smooth hotel pick-up and drop-off system. An unintrusive presence by vendors and side entertainers (fortune tellers et al.), quite untypical for a locale that other reviewers have labelled "a tourist trap". All in all, a great night out.

Exceptional service, best local guides for Victoria Falls. Excellent service from the point of contact, airport pick up, activities and the accomodation recommendation was just what we needed for a quick Vic Falls getway. Patrick Manyika was exceptional. Friendly and knowledgeable. More than willing to give us discounts where possible and accomodate our many changes and questions. We will definately book again.
